This is a really cool idea for a custom ugly sweater-the Grinch! This one is great if you're looking for something a little more dark and less wholesome! That said, it doesn't have to be a truly terrifying sweater. If you don't want something really dark and scary, pick a sweater color that's bright - like red- and use that. It will make the sweater look a little more playful. If you do decide to incorporate the Grinch into your custom ugly christmas sweater design, here are a few tips:
Full on Grinch or a taste of the Grinch?
We've spoken before on the Roody Originals blog about choosing either a full design or an outline when it comes to characters/mascots. The same applies with Grinch. If you are choosing an outline of Grinch, then a green color will work-you can have a few small ones in a line or scattered depending on what else is part of your design. If you want to opt for a full design when it comes to Grinch, then it's all about the facial expression. That evil smile says it all so that should be the focus of the design.
Black and navy are a great choice for Grinch as Grinch himself will be green. However if they are too dark for your campaign, red will also work really well. Add some white strips to the arm or neck/hemline.
There's nothing like an original ugly sweater. Original ideas are really brilliant and sometimes designs only need a tweak to go from good to awesome. If your custom ugly christmas sweater features grinch, have some fun with it. Ok, so grinch stole christmas. Make sure that's clear from the design. Be creative!
