Brand Consistency During the Holidays

Some brands go all out for the holidays and that sometimes means losing a bit of their identity. While it's great to be festive and to jazz up sites and logos with festive cheer, it's vital to stay authentic. Otherwise, while you may have a successful campaign, in that sales are up, customers may have failed to attribute the campaign to your brand. So here are a few tips for brand consistency during the Holidays:

1. Don't change the foundation of your brand. If you have established colors, continue using them. You can incorporate festive colors but they can be used with your own colors. The same is true of font. Do not change the font!

2. Give the same experience year round. It's a difficult time to maintain service standards as there is more of a demand during the holiday season. Customer service is crucial-make sure there is a good team involved!

3. Know your target market. Just because it's the Holidays, doesn't mean you have to change your approach to marketing. Remember who your customer is and focus on them. They are the ones who will return after the Holidays so it's important to be consistent.
