Apple's Holiday Gift to Employees

Apple's Holiday Gift to Employees

September 30, 2016

Apple gift their employees a little Holiday thank you treat annually. It's really difficult to know what to gift as it should be relevant to the brand but something that will actually be liked and can be used. In the past the gifts have included hoodies, water bottles, apps and discount cards and in 2014 they gifted them an Incase backpack. They were custom ones and had the Apple logo on it.

Last year they went a step further and gave two gifts. Employees were given a pair of urBeats headphones (Apple acquired Beats for $3 billion in 2014) and a nine month subscription to Apple music,  the company’s streaming audio service. This was reported as being one of their most generous gifts as the urBeats headphones retail at $99 and the subscription service is another $90.

It was a clever marketing move as not only will employees boost the subscriber list, they'll know the service inside out and will be able to advise customers accordingly. It's a nice touch to be gifted annually and considering there are over 100,000 employees worldwide it's pretty cool that every employee gets a gift along with a little note.
