Thanksgiving is a time for brands to show gratitude, not just to business partners and employees but to their loyal customers and followers. It's a time when the market is absolutely saturated with holiday campaigns, most of which involve free shipping and competitions. In order to stand out, brands need to make it memorable. There needs to be an experience that the customer will remember and associate with the brand. Here are three tips on how to make your Thanksgiving Marketing Campaign stand out:
1. Host an Event
This is a really great thing to do. During the holiday season, brands throw big parties for employees but to actually have an event for customers is something they will never forget. Apart from the experience itself, they'll feel really valued as a customer.
2. Create a Video
Visual content is great and if you can't have a party/host an event, this is another good option. You can invite your customer into your world by showing exclusive access to the HQ, warehouse, lunch meetings, parties-show them everything! The customer will feel involved and will learn what goes on behind the scenes, giving them a closer connection with the brand.
3. Give a Gift
Customers prefer free gifts to discounts and free shipping. A gift is something extra that they won't be expecting and just like the above, they'll feel really valued as a customer. Some brands make the mistake of giving free gifts that have no connection whatsoever to their brand. This is a mistake. Give a branded and promotional gift but something the customer can use and will love but most importantly that they'll associate with the brand. Make it interactive too-create a hashtag to go along with the free gift. Customers love to share their news online and will be happy to tweet or instagram a picture.
