How Custom Sweaters are Made

Whether you're looking for branded sweaters, promotional sweaters or ugly sweaters, the best ones available are the knitted kind. Sweatshirts just won't do your brand justice. Knitted custom sweaters are well made, premium and most importantly fun! The premium element means that if you are gifting them to employees , clients or competition winners, they will be a true representative of your brand and will be consistent with the brand image that you've spent years creating.

There are some misconceptions when it comes to knitted custom sweaters. Unlike print, the sweater isn't ready made. So if you order a printed sweatshirt, the print company will order in a sweatshirt and pop it on a machine and print your design on to that sweatshirt. This isn't what happens with knitted custom sweaters. In fact, there isn't just one machine that can do everything. You need to carefully select the machine that will work for your particular design, yarn and specifications.

The process begins with the design. Once that has been confirmed, the knitting machine is chosen. The yarn that is selected will depend on what will work well with the design and more importantly the machine as the design is actually knitted in to the yarn. The yarn itself can be colored and multiple colors can be used-you can even select your exact brand colors. When they are ready, labels are hand sewn on before they are packaged. The important part of the process is selecting the correct machine and knitting style as this will depend on the design/pattern. This comes with expertise and experience.
