Giving a Holiday gift to a client is a nice gesture to show them how much you appreciate their business. But it also helps to reinforce and strengthen the relationship. Here are some tips for picking the perfect Holiday gift for clients:
1. Don't give anything too personal. It's a gift to a business client. The clue is in the word business. Keep it professional!
2. Professional doesn't have to mean boring. The gift can still be fun and have a novelty element. You can even personalize it.
3. If you're opting for a gift basket, make it more personal. Either add a couple of extra hand picked items or a hand written note. Clients like to feel they are valued, not just one of many.
4. Something they can use over the Holidays. Corporate gifts are branded gifts but giving them office equipment will generally mean one thing-it will be left behind over the Christmas period. Give them something they can use for the Holidays-clothing or tickets (that way they can have an experience). Something fun.
